How to use the new Vitamix blender + tips and tricks

Searching for a blender that works and isn't supper pricey can be hard to find! A couple weeks ago I got an advertisement while scrolling on one of my social media platforms about the "New High Performance Blender, Lower Price" by Vitamix. My immediate thought was, "there is no way that the company Vitamix is selling a blender for that price!". I had to see for myself if it is worth the hype and see if it still lives up to the higher tech blender that they sell for way more.

Currently, I own the A3500 blender, and I love it! I saved up for a long time to buy that model but I ultimately didn't want to spend $600.00 on a kitchen appliance. This Vitamix model is over $300.00 cheaper and they claim that this blender is built to last! I have been trying it out for 2 weeks and I didn't expect to say that I prefer this new E310 model over the high tech A3500 model. The fancy touch screen on the other model is very nice and super sleek, but this new model is very simple to use and does the exact same job as all of the other ones.

My Rating of the New E310 Vitamix:

FAB 9 out of 10

I love this Vitamix and have learned some tricks that make it so much easier and fun to use! Here is my quick how to guide + some tips and tricks for this new model.

What comes in the box?

-48oz. Container

-Motor Base

-Mini Tamper

-Cookbook

-The dial in the middle controls the power level and it ranges from 1-10, 1 being the lowest power setting and 10 being the highest.

-The switch on the right doubles as a start/stop switch and as the power button.

-The switch on the left is the pulse switch. Pressing down on the Pulse Switch will cause the machine to blend at the speed setting shown on the power dial for as long as the Pulse Switch is held down. This pulls everything down into the bottom creating a better blend.

-How to start:

When turning on the blender, make sure the power dial is set to 1, and then turn the power switch on the right up to turn on the device. Now that the Vitamix is on, you can start adjusting the power dial to blend faster and pulse to create a smoother blend. It is super easy to learn and not to hard to blend something. With the other model, I was confused the first couple of times because of all the fancy tech, I didn't know what meant what. With this model, it is very simple and works just the same. I have seen numerous 1 star reviews but for me I totally rate this 5 stars.

-Tips and Tricks:

  1. One of my favorite tricks is after I used the top container, I rinse out the excess and fill the container 1/3 of the way full of warm water. Add a few drops of dish soap then blend on speed 5! Blend for about a minute then rinse with warm water. Now you have clean container!

  2. Something I hate to do is whip cream. It is such a hassle to get hand mixer out and mix the cream for over 10 minutes. I love homemade whipped cream but I don't want to spend 10 minutes doing it. Something I found very helpful Is adding 2 cups of whipping cream to the Vitamix container. Blend on speed 7 for about 30 seconds. Add 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tsp. vanilla and blend for 5 more seconds. Homemade whipped cream super fast!

  3. I love to make smoothie bowls and the Vitamix is perfect for that! A tip I have learned over the years is when making your smoothie, don't add as much liquid as you would usually do. Add more frozen fruit then use the mini tamper to push the fruit down to the bottom. Then use the pulse switch for 15 seconds and it creates the smoothest blend!

I hope these tips and tricks will help you in your Vitamix journey!
